How did the Evolution of Media started?

The evolution of media did not start until the era of the pre-industrial age has begun due to the cause of people being less intellectual about their beings and surroundings back then. The people before the said era has discovered fire, developed paper form plants, and has made/forged weapons at around time before the pre-industrial age. Due to this happenings, the people back then had known the use and value of the materials and elements to their well-being and how these things can provide them better living situations.

Pre-Industrial Age (Before the 18th century/ Before the 1700s )

In this age, people began to use media without knowing that it was already a media back then. They used paintings that can be called as "Cave Paintings" a.k.a. "parietal art" which are paintings made in the ceilings and walls of the cave that people housed in before. But evidences of professional experts on these things say that these cave art in which people back then created were not a form of communication but a way of having ceremonial events among them. Another examples are clay tablets in which people wrote different characters of their language back then to address their communication to others and were made through clay being molded and hardened through heat so that it would be durable when accidents may occur. Another are "Acta Diurna" in which particularly the Ancient Romans have made in this age that made this type of media. These were handwritten media that was written on paper and was mostly used by the military of the Roman Empire. Other examples are "dibao" from china that was handwritten and printed on engraved wooden blocks and also printing through wooden blocks and using "folding books" called codices from the mayan people.

Industrial Age ( 1700s - 1930s)

This era was the most industrious time for humankind that started a revolution in technology and fast revolving of goods and modernization of ancient media. This era contains a big leap for technology that enables people to be more efficient in their daily lives and achieve a faster and have an adjacent amount of information that can be collected in this era's media. People have used different methods in creating media like, using steam for developing power tools in printing and for manufacturing different media products. In this era, the printing press was been famous and have been used daily specifically for texts, printed news, and announcements. This invention was the most influential event in this age that caused a major spark in the history of mankind. It can created books, magazine, journals, etc. Another examples are the newspaper in which until today we use to know whats going around the world in pieces of paper. It can be bought for a cheap price so that most people can afford it. Next are the typewriter that are like mechanical keyboards in which people can printout letters onto a paper instantly by typing and this are mostly used by journalists and people who makes newspapers and articles and media stuff back then. The telephone was also invented in this era but it was not called as a "telephone" back then. It was sailing device was used for communication purposes. Next are the telegraph which is a device that is used for long-transmission communication using textual and symbolic messages. And for more modern devices that this era have are the projectors and commercial motion pictures that are mainly used for animating pictures to create a movie or film to be show to the public and also being a camera that can be used for panoramic views and shots that can be taken.

Electronic Age (1930s - 1970s)

This age in history made a spark that literally has electronic parts or electricity flowing through the invented devices in this age. This age merged electricity to devices of the this era that enables the user or owner to be more efficient with work and giving out new media. In this age, people invented transistors that led to creation of transistor radios, early computer, and circuits that are electric. Mostly all of the devices and inventions created in this age are electronically-powered in which innovates the past inventions and makes them more useful and efficient. Examples are: Transistor Radio, Television, large electronic computers which are used for storage of numbers and orders like the EDSAC AND UNIVAC 1, mainframe computers like the IBM 704, and personal computers like the Apple 1.

Digital Age (1970s - Present)

This is the age where we are currently living on in which most of the devices that we used as of today are now modernized and more technologically advanced than ever than what it was back then. Today, digital technology has been raging over the whole world that makes everyone satisfied and has been living a more efficient and suitable lifestyle in which rapidly grows each country's economic and technological advancement. Each technology that has been introduced follows a similar path of exploration and discovery through modern engineering that helps everyone achieve greatness and achievement that makes a mark in the history of mankind. The examples are portable computer-laptops, web browsers, blog sites, social media sites/networks, virtual and augmented reality, search engines, and many more. These are only the beginning stages of introducing modern technology to this age, what more can this era provide and improve the current technologies we have right now.
